Course Description:

Six-part seminar series on the powerful use of 3D simulation software (i-CAT CT scans with Materialise Simplant) as well as the innovative products to increase regenerative success and surgical precision. Software offers multiple ways to proceed and helps avoid potential problems. Presented with hands-on videos by Dr. Maurice A. Salama, DMD, who has received specialized Orthodontics, Periodontal Surgery, and Implant Dentistry training. Listen to his discussion on GBR concepts as well as actual use of stereolithographic models, prefitted titanium mesh, PRGF (with fibrin), BMP (rhBMP-2/ACS INFUSE) and irradiated bone allograft (Miner-Oss) during implant surgery, including ridge augmentation and sinus lift.

1 Bone Graft Planning Using Stereolithographic Models
In this video, Dr. Salama highlights the enormous value to the clinician in treatment planning using 3D technologies available in dentistry. i-CAT CT scans, Materialise 3D models and pre-fitting of titanium mesh onto these models can expedite the surgical procedures and increase regenerative success and precision.
2 3D Tx Planning Using Materialise Simplant Simulation Software
In this video, Dr. Salama showcases how he utilizes 3D planning software in his implant and regenerative practice. The information it can display and how it can assist in proper treatment planning and sequence.
3 rhBMP-2 Infuse and Titanium Mesh Utilized for Regeneration of the Posterior Mandible
In this video, Dr. Salama highlights a regenerative protocol utilizing rhBMP-2/ACS INFUSE and mineralized irradiated allograft bone, Miner-Oss in combination with a prefit titanium mesh and implant placement in the deficient mandibular posterior region. Incision design, intra-marrow penetration and suturing are further discussed.
4 rhBMP-2 Infuse and Titanium Mesh Utilization for Horizontal Augmentation in the Maxillary Lateral Incisior Region
In this video, Dr. Salama highlights a regenerative protocol utilizing rhBMP-2/ACS INFUSE and mineralized irradiated allograft bone, Miner-Oss in combination with a pre-fit titanium mesh apron and implant placement in a narrow ridge. Incision design and tension free closure are also featured.
5 Osteotome Technique & Piezosurgery Utilized for Internal Sinus Lift with PRGF Protocol
In this video, Dr. Salama highlights multiple regenerative tools and protocols in the posterior maxilla. Internal sinus lift utilizing a combined osteotome technique and PRGF is featured first prior to implant insertion and followed by bone grafting of the thin labial plate using PRGF, fibrin, and 50:50 mixture of mineralized irradiated allograft bone, Miner-Oss and xenograft. Hydraulic effects of Fibrin and PRGF for sinus lift are also featured along with autologous fibrin membrane utilization to protect buccal bone augmentation.
6 Implant Placement in the Posterior Mandible in Combination with Titanium Mesh and PRGF for Horizontal Bone Augmentation
In this video, Dr. Salama highlights a combination case where implant placement is performed simultaneously with a pre-fit titanium mesh, FT Wing to secure spacing needed for ridge augmentation. PRGF and fibrin membrane further highlight this regenerative protocol. Incision and tension free closure are also featured.
