Digital Asset Management in Dentistry; Now that I’ve taken all these photos, what do I do with them? part 1 of 2

Description:
Digital cameras are commonly used today in dentistry, however, little has been written in the dental literature regarding Digital Asset Management (DAM). This video presentation will review the management and handling of digital images after they are captured in camera. Images need to be downloaded, organized, and cataloged quickly and efficiently. A complete DAM workflow will be shown allowing the viewer to see how a professional system is setup and utilized in a dental practice.

Thank you Steven for sharing this great info. I was speaking to Maurice recently about the 'anxiety' in managing thousands of photos and indexing them properly. Since your post, Aperture has been discontinued by Apple and Light Room, appears to be only available as a monthly subscription. Has your preferences for software changed or still recommend LR? Thanks

Outstanding input. We have so much technology that sometimes we need to sit back and review how best to apply it into clinical practice. This lecture clearly defines how that can be accomplished. Glenn Krieger also does a great job discussing the actual cameras and photography on DentalXP. You should take a look at that as well. Band
