Digital Asset Management in Dentistry; Now that I’ve taken all these photos, what do I do with them? part 2 of 2

Description:
Digital cameras are commonly used today in dentistry, however, little has been written in the dental literature regarding Digital Asset Management (DAM). This video presentation will review the management and handling of digital images after they are captured in camera. Images need to be downloaded, organized, and cataloged quickly and efficiently. A complete DAM workflow will be shown allowing the viewer to see how a professional system is setup and utilized in a dental practice.

Thank you Dr Goldstein for this presentation. This is by far the most informative video that i have seen regarding photography in dentistry. I do have a few questions. How about the photo's that were taken from an intraoral camera, can they be added also to Lr4 to be added to the extranal hard drive? How is your work flow from taking the photo's and discussing the treatment plan to the patient using the photo's taken from both the inraoral and exraoral cameras.

Hi Maurice, yes you are correct; it is a lot of information especially if you are hearing it for the first time! It took me years to learn this material; way before video learning was available. One of my favorite features of DentalXP is the ability to be able to watch the videos multiple times allowing me to pick up information I may have missed during the first viewing. I watch a lot of videos multiple times!!! Band Ditto64; I agree with you too. A hands-on course is the best way to learn this material. Please email me and I will let you know my schedule. Radu Popa: This movie is an overview of the digital workflow. In-depth and technical information is best learned hands-on, however, if you have any advanced technical questions please email me and I'll be happy to answer them for you.

Great stuff but need it in a Hands-on program to better understand all the information. Are any planned in the future? thanks Band

Maurice Salama - (8/1/2013 8:18 PM)

Steven; Impressive presentation on digital photography. Perhaps too much info, I must watch it twice. thanks Maurice

Radu Popa - (8/1/2013 6:31 PM)

Somehow, after part 1, I was expecting more in-depth and technical information..
