Immediate Loading in Implant Dentistry – Coherent Clinical Application in Everyday Practice
In this webinar presentation, Dr. Henry Salama will outline clinical protocols to facilitate efficient, successful and predictable application of immediate loading protocols for single unit replacement as well as fully edendulous patients. Dr. Salama will utilize research data on bone biology and biomechanics around implants to suggest treatment planning parameters for well organized team logistics and clinical management of both surgical and restorative protocols to minimize risk factors and optimize successful outcomes. In addition, Digital imaging, CAD/CAM and temporization will be especially emphasized.

Esthetic Tissue Reconstruction Around Implants - Part 2 of 2 Premium Member Content

Esthetic Tissue Reconstruction Around Implants - Part 2 of 2
Esthetics in implant-supported restorations is an important clinical objective in contemporary dentistry. Understanding the biological behavior of hard and soft tissues following tooth extraction is the first step to anticipate the physiological tissue remodeling and its consequences. Our objective in these 2 sequential lectures was to provide straightforward decision trees related to several clinical scenarios observed in routine clinical practice. The 3 fundamental pillars for peri-implant excellence are: restorative-driven implant position, hard and soft tissue reconstruction using different biomaterials and grafts, and prosthetic management. Using this philosophical approach seems to provide esthetic and stable results over time irrespective of the initial clinical condition.

Current Concepts in Immediate Implants Premium Member Content

Current Concepts in Immediate Implants
Immediate implants have several advantages over traditional phased implant placement. Shortened treatment time and a single surgical procedure are among some of these benefits. Although the surgical techniques can be more challenging, immediate implants can be a predictable treatment modality in both the esthetic zone and molar sites. This presentation will discuss immediate implant placement and temporization in the esthetic zone as well as immediate replacement of molar sites using regular platform implants. More advanced technical procedures, including simultaneous sinus augmentation and guided bone regeneration will also be discussed.

Survival of Implants after Indirect Maxillary Sinus Elevation Procedure: A Two Years Longitudinal Study
The aim of the study was to evaluate the survival rate of two diverse implant systems with different implant surfaces with the same geometrical design. In the present study, we achieved clinical success with both kinds of implant surfaces however Bioetched implant surface showed promising results comparable to Tiunite surface of Nobel BioCare Implants. In the future, more case-controlled studies with longer follow-up are needed to validate the results of the present findings.
