From Extraction to Prosthetic Restoration: Considerations for the Esthetic Zone

Description:
This webinar will highlight surgical and restorative techniques to accomplish predictable outcomes in the esthetic zone with implant therapy. Treatment modalities will be demonstrated with high quality photography and case series discussion. Surgical modalities presented will include ridge preservation, the current evidence on the use of growth factors such as PRP and hr-PDGF bb. Also timing of implant placement as well as soft and hard tissue augmentation will be discussed. Special emphasis will be placed on immediate provisionalization of implants to accomplish optimal peri-implant mucosa architecture. Techniques to transfer provisional emergence profile to the final restoration will be presented.

Great presentation Thanos!! loved it! :D

CHEN ZHANG - (8/14/2017 11:38 AM)

Thank you very much for the informative presentation. one question for you, if I understand correctly, you did not perform traditional periosteal releasing incision to achieve primary closure in your ABC protocol, you'd rather graft the buccal of implant first buy autogenous bone chips and then xenograft, covered them by collagen membrane and put the subepithelial connective tissue graft on top of it. the soft tissue graft will actually help to seal the would, am I correct? Thanks

In the surgical part, it will be described the criteria necessary for successfully utilizing minimally invasive protocols within the esthetic zone and the possibility of placing or not placing a bone graft in the “gap” and the opportunity to use a connective tissue graft to overbuild the site bucco-lingually, performing the Surgical Veneer Grafting Protocol, idea'ed by the Agnini brothers.

Preservation of the Bundle Bone: Reality or Myth
The loss of teeth will lead to resorption of the buccal plate with its resultant need for extensive augmentative procedures (both bone and soft tissue) as well as the risk of poor long term aesthetic stability. Partial Extraction Therapies (PET) are techniques that allow us to maintain the buccal bone plate and hence prevent the collapse of the alveolar bone creating a platform for ideal soft tissue and bone which is stable in the long term. This is a greater problem in the aesthetic areas. This lecture will take you through the different options with regards to immediate implant placement as well as the most cutting edge PET in a step by step fashion.

Tissue Engineering and Platelet Derived Growth Factors: Evidence Based Therapy Premium Member Content

Tissue Engineering and Platelet Derived Growth Factors: Evidence Based Therapy
Platelet derived growth factors are now routinely utilized in reconstructive therapy. This presentation describes very detailed and evidence based guidelines for clinicians interested in enhancing their abilities in tissue engineering, especially as it relates to bone augmentation. Specifically, while successful bone augmentation requires the standard surgical parameters of space maintenance, low pressure on the grafts and tension-free flap closure, optimization of this goal requires management and enhancement of the local biological conditions with growth factors. Towards that end, platelet concentrates through the constant release of growth factors are able to promote and enhance new vascularization, provide plasma protein, normal lipidemia, as well as increased collagen and fibrin activity.

Fibrin Assisted Soft Tissue Promotion (FASTP) Premium Member Content

Fibrin Assisted Soft Tissue Promotion (FASTP)
Soft tissue recession around teeth and implants is an epidemic problem in the field of dentistry. A predictable and long-term soft tissue augmentation outcome is primarily dependent on proper diagnosis, prognosis and treatment planning. Harvesting limitations of autogenous tissue from the palate represent a true challenge when treating patients with multiple recessions or gingival deformities around teeth and dental implants. The Advanced Platelet Rich Fibrin (APRF) and injectable platelet-rich fibrin (iPRF) are promising tissue promoters that can be a suitable alternative option.
