Immediate Implant Dentistry: A Predictable & Routine Treatment

Description:
The topic of one day implants (Teeth in a Day, Same Day Implants, etc.) is very popular in implant dentistry. This topic has existed since the introduction of implants into dentistry as the Clinician wishes to reduce chairside time, and the Patient wishes to have less visits to the dental clinician. Until now, there hasn’t been a good scientifically-supported way to provide One Day Implants. To make it a reality, many objective key factors have been discussed and developed in implant dentistry. Implant design was developed in order to achieve vital initial and long-term stability and surface treatments developed as well for secondary stability. In addition, various methods have been developed to determine implant stability which are very helpful to provide one day implants. In this lecture, the current scientific loading criteria and decision making process for One Day Implants will be presented with clinical cases and reliable scientific data such as Resonance Frequency Analysis, implant design that reinforces initial stability, insertion torque value, evaluation of bone density and patient’s parafunction by using R2 Gate software

Peri-Implantitis: Diagnosis, Etiology and Treatment
The dental implant therapy has evolved both in implant surface and design. The reason for the initial crestal bone loss has been proven and the risks of having a peri-implantitis have increased due to the early exposure of roughened surface. The prevalence of peri-implantitis is at a range of 28 to 56%.

Methods of Determining Implant Stability and Scientific Loading Criteria Premium Member Content

Methods of Determining Implant Stability and Scientific Loading Criteria
There can always be difficulties in determining the osseointegration status when an implant is to be loaded with the prosthesis. Nevertheless, it is vital to know whether the implant is stable. Research today demonstrates that implants can be subject to immediate or early loading, but there were no objective standard methods of determining implant stability which will be very helpful criteria for immediate or early loading. In this lecture, the current scientific loading criteria and decision making process for the immediate or early loading will be presented with clinical cases and reliable scientific data such as Resonance Frequency Analysis, implant design that reinforced stability, Insertion torque value, evaluation of bone density and patient’s parafunction. Dr. Park and his colleagues are dedicated to finding and promoting a reliable and scientifically viable protocol for loading implant in more predictable time frame

From Extraction to Prosthetic Restoration: Considerations for the Esthetic Zone
This webinar will highlight surgical and restorative techniques to accomplish predictable outcomes in the esthetic zone with implant therapy. Treatment modalities will be demonstrated with high quality photography and case series discussion. Surgical modalities presented will include ridge preservation, the current evidence on the use of growth factors such as PRP and hr-PDGF bb. Also timing of implant placement as well as soft and hard tissue augmentation will be discussed. Special emphasis will be placed on immediate provisionalization of implants to accomplish optimal peri-implant mucosa architecture. Techniques to transfer provisional emergence profile to the final restoration will be presented.

Two Immediate Temporization Methods Exemplified: Flap vs. Punch Technique in Implant Surgery

Two Immediate Temporization Methods Exemplified: Flap vs. Punch Technique in Implant Surgery
Protocols and techniques for immediate tooth replacement in the esthetic zone have become more popular and predictable within the past decade. Two different clinical scenarios are presented where immediate temporization of implants placed into healed or augmented ridges is exemplified. The benefits of augmentation prior to implant placement and temporization are that flap elevation is not required; therefore, the blood supply to the labial plate is not compromised, thereby eliminating potential midfacial recession. In addition, the soft tissue subgingival shape of the temporary crown can be non-surgically sculpted at the time of implant placement since the patient is already anesthetized.
