Immediate Implant Dentistry: A Predictable & Routine Treatment

Description:
The topic of one day implants (Teeth in a Day, Same Day Implants, etc.) is very popular in implant dentistry. This topic has existed since the introduction of implants into dentistry as the Clinician wishes to reduce chairside time, and the Patient wishes to have less visits to the dental clinician. Until now, there hasn’t been a good scientifically-supported way to provide One Day Implants. To make it a reality, many objective key factors have been discussed and developed in implant dentistry. Implant design was developed in order to achieve vital initial and long-term stability and surface treatments developed as well for secondary stability. In addition, various methods have been developed to determine implant stability which are very helpful to provide one day implants. In this lecture, the current scientific loading criteria and decision making process for One Day Implants will be presented with clinical cases and reliable scientific data such as Resonance Frequency Analysis, implant design that reinforces initial stability, insertion torque value, evaluation of bone density and patient’s parafunction by using R2 Gate software

Controlled Ridge Splitting (CRS)
To demonstrate a new technique of controlled ridge splitting (CRS) in severely atrophied maxillary cases as an alternative to autogenous block graft. Twenty cases were completed using a controlled ridge splitting (CRS) technique with a total of 65 implants were placed in severely atrophied Maxillae and followed after the implants were loaded.

CBCT-Guided Implantology- Improving the Accuracy and Success of Tooth Replacement
The integration of cone beam technology and 3D imaging has advanced the practice of digital dentistry. CT-guided implant planning combined with the use of a Computer Guided Surgery (CGS) implant placement kit leads to increased precision, accuracy and efficiency of implant placement. To realize the full advantages of CT guided surgery, it is important to have a thorough understanding of software and workflow, as well as the specific components of the Guided Surgery kit and their use. This session will demonstrate how the merging of implant planning software, CAD/CAM technology and CGS is enabling surgeons and restorative dentists to leverage the benefits of digital dentistry.

Revolutionary Dental Implant Material Technology: Trabecular Metal
To date, enhancement to implant surface technology has been evolutionary rather than revolutionary. Trabecular Metal has changed all that. This is because Trabecular Metal allows for true bone 'in-growth' rather than just on-growth. This webinar will highlight, in detail, this new implant surface technology, related literature, as well as its enhancing effect on current clinical implant protocols. In addition, techniques for immediate provisionalization of this implant will also be covered in an accompanying surgical video.

Combination Therapies in the Esthetic Zone: Steps for Success
This presentation will cover the critical aspects to consider for deciding the sequence and implementation of combination therapies. Successful esthetic zone treatment must begin with a well thought-out space management plan. This plan involves a three dimensional adjustment of the periodontal attachment, with a possibility of root submergence and partial extraction technique. Following this, a decision is made concerning the timing and position of implant placement, and an adequate hard tissue foundation can be restored using GBR with titanium mesh and collagen membrane. On top of this base a more efficient soft tissue augmentation and adjustment completes the requirements for success in the esthetic zone.

Pure Dental Esthetics – From Titanium to Zirconia Premium Member Content

Pure Dental Esthetics – From Titanium to Zirconia
The replacement of a single tooth with dental implants, especially when the patient has a high smile line, has been an esthetic challenge in implant dentistry. Typically, it requires very careful stages to create the final restoration as natural as possible. When there is loss of soft tissues, carefully made dental-gingival prosthesis becomes an alternative of therapy. For all cases with high smile line, achieving perfection in color and texture of the restoration it's not an easy task. Currently there are some ways to achieve better aesthetic results, including digital scanning of colors. This presentation describes step-by-step the application of a protocol developed in our clinic. Several cases will be discussed. In addition, recent technologies such as zirconium implants are also be discussed.

Immediate Implant Placement into Extraction Sockets with Labial Plate Dehiscence Defects: A Clinical Case Series
To measure the buccal plate reconstruction of extraction sockets with labial plate dehiscence defects using a bone allograft in combination with an absorbable collagen membrane and a custom-healing abutment at the time of tooth removal. Implants placed into sockets with labial plate dehiscence defects demonstrated radiographic reformation of the labial plate dehiscence defect at 6 to 9 months post-treatment. The net gain in labial plate on CBCT in L1 and L2 was 3.0 mm, where 0 mm existed at pre-treatment. The minimum amount of labial plate thickness of 2.0 mm was achieved in all treated sites, evaluated radiographically at 6-9 months post-operatively, in a single procedure, without flap elevation and maintaining the gingival architecture and satisfactory esthetics.

Guided Bone Regeneration Using a Titanium Membrane at Implant Placement: A Case Report and Literature Discussion

Guided Bone Regeneration Using a Titanium Membrane at Implant Placement: A Case Report and Literature Discussion
Reconstruction of the oral supporting tissues lost by disease or trauma is essential to tooth replacement with dental implant therapy. This treatment requires evidence based augmentative procedures combined with up-to-date and current techniques. Guided bone regeneration (GBR) aims to initialize this process of alveolar ridge reconstruction by utilizing biologically active and supportive materials best coupled to the body’s healing processes. The use of nonresorbable, titanium membranes can achieve GBR by ensuring graft stability and space maintenance so as to ensure optimal neovascularization. Hereafter is a case report of a ridge defect reconstructed at implant placement, with the rationale and current, evidence-based literature discussed.
