Immediate Implant Dentistry: A Predictable & Routine Treatment

Description:
The topic of one day implants (Teeth in a Day, Same Day Implants, etc.) is very popular in implant dentistry. This topic has existed since the introduction of implants into dentistry as the Clinician wishes to reduce chairside time, and the Patient wishes to have less visits to the dental clinician. Until now, there hasn’t been a good scientifically-supported way to provide One Day Implants. To make it a reality, many objective key factors have been discussed and developed in implant dentistry. Implant design was developed in order to achieve vital initial and long-term stability and surface treatments developed as well for secondary stability. In addition, various methods have been developed to determine implant stability which are very helpful to provide one day implants. In this lecture, the current scientific loading criteria and decision making process for One Day Implants will be presented with clinical cases and reliable scientific data such as Resonance Frequency Analysis, implant design that reinforces initial stability, insertion torque value, evaluation of bone density and patient’s parafunction by using R2 Gate software

Combination Therapies in the Esthetic Zone: Steps for Success
This presentation will cover the critical aspects to consider for deciding the sequence and implementation of combination therapies. Successful esthetic zone treatment must begin with a well thought-out space management plan. This plan involves a three dimensional adjustment of the periodontal attachment, with a possibility of root submergence and partial extraction technique. Following this, a decision is made concerning the timing and position of implant placement, and an adequate hard tissue foundation can be restored using GBR with titanium mesh and collagen membrane. On top of this base a more efficient soft tissue augmentation and adjustment completes the requirements for success in the esthetic zone.

Current Concepts in Immediate Implants Premium Member Content

Current Concepts in Immediate Implants
Immediate implants have several advantages over traditional phased implant placement. Shortened treatment time and a single surgical procedure are among some of these benefits. Although the surgical techniques can be more challenging, immediate implants can be a predictable treatment modality in both the esthetic zone and molar sites. This presentation will discuss immediate implant placement and temporization in the esthetic zone as well as immediate replacement of molar sites using regular platform implants. More advanced technical procedures, including simultaneous sinus augmentation and guided bone regeneration will also be discussed.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation: Clinical Overview a Systematic Approach
Full mouth rehabilitation is a complex subject that requires the clinician to resurrect broken and mutilated dentitions. Armed with a thorough understanding of the disease process to enable an accurate diagnosis and risk assessment that will enable a conservative treatment approach is the need of the hour. This presentation aims to take the audience through a systematic approach towards this subject and empower them with a vision that will enable them to set up the case to end it well with accurate form, predictable function and superior esthetics!

Bio-Oss Collagen in the Buccal Gap at Immediate Implants - A 6-Month Study in the Dog
Following tooth extraction and immediate implant installation, the edentulous site of the alveolar process undergoes substantial bone modeling and the ridge dimensions are reduced. Five beagle dogs about 1 year old were used. The 4th premolar in both quadrants of the mandible were selected and used as experimental sites. The outline of the marginal hard tissue of the control sites was markedly different from that of the grafted sites.

Implant Aesthetic Score for Evaluating the Outcome
Implant restorations delivered according to the Brånemark protocol have proven to be highly predictable. To shorten the length of treatment associated with the Brånemark protocol, as well as to preserve soft and hard tissues, newer protocols have focused on reducing or even eliminating the time between tooth extraction and implant placement and between implant placement and prosthetic restoration delivery. The authors present a case in which control of postextraction implant placement, optimal implant…
