The use of this method implies a lower emotional impact, a single surgery and a healing often better for the patient. We will be discussed traumatic extraction methods, perfect insertion of the implants with or without bone regeneration with bone substitutes and membranes and the opportunity to combine an advanced method as immediate implant with the execution of an immediate loading to restore aesthetics in more complex cases.

Congratulations Alfonso, top keynote! Literature and perfect selection of superb cases according to the state of the implant top brand! I repeat the words of the conclusion of our recent Coir article “Both immediate and conventional single-implant treatment in the anterior maxilla can yield satisfactory aesthetic outcomes, when performed by experienced clinicians in well-selected cases. Further studies are needed to confirm these results.“

Advanced Bone Grafting Techniques: Part 2 - Autogenous Bone Blocks in the Reconstruction of the Atrophic Maxillary Ridge
This lecture will describe the use of autologous onlay block bone grafting for reconstruction of moderate to severe atrophic maxillary alveolar ridge. This will include a discussion of the various options to this form of grafting, such as short implants, maxillary sinus augmentation, sub-nasal elevation procedure, connective tissue grafting and soft tissue manipulation, Le-Fort I down fracture/osteotomy and the use of progenitor cells: bone marrow aspirating concentrated. A description of surgical donor harvest sites in the mandible will also be performed as well as post-op healing of these sites. Additional time will be spent reviewing causes of failure with bone blocks and implants placed into these sites.

Guided Bone Regeneration Using a Titanium Membrane at Implant Placement: A Case Report and Literature Discussion
Reconstruction of the oral supporting tissues lost by disease or trauma is essential to tooth replacement with dental implant therapy. This treatment requires evidence based augmentative procedures combined with up-to-date and current techniques. Guided bone regeneration (GBR) aims to initialize this process of alveolar ridge reconstruction by utilizing biologically active and supportive materials best coupled to the body’s healing processes. The use of nonresorbable, titanium membranes can achieve GBR by ensuring graft stability and space maintenance so as to ensure optimal neovascularization. Hereafter is a case report of a ridge defect reconstructed at implant placement, with the rationale and current, evidence-based literature discussed.
