Long span of treatment, frequent recall visits and second stage surgery makes  conventional implant treatment less favorable as compared to immediate implant  placement. Immediate implant placement overcomes these disadvantages of  conventional implant therapy and gives a better treatment option as compared.  Immediate implant placement is also advantageous in aesthetic areas as patient  can get treatment done immediately reducing surgical and prosthetic sessions,  thereby reducing time and overall visits to the dental office.

I imagine the Dr is a very good surgeon. However, this video reminded me of dental school. Mostly it was before and after. Good luck trying to figure out how we got to after. The process is rarely shown, no difficulties arise at all, and the end result is amazing. It's not very helpful, really.

Bone Augmentation vs Short Implants: Making Clinical Decisions for Tooth Replacement at Sites with Alveolar Ridge Atrophy
There is often some degree of atrophy in sites planned for implant placement. An array of therapeutic options is available for implant placement in sites with vertical atrophy of the alveolar ridge, including ridge augmentation, sinus augmentation in the maxilla, nerve repositioning in the mandible and tilted implants. Short implants have been systematically evaluated as an alternative in sites with vertical alveolar ridge atrophy with favorable clinical outcomes comparable to standard-length implants. Decision making for selection of appropriate therapeutic modality for sites with vertical alveolar ridge atrophy has to consider many theoretical, surgical and prosthetic considerations. Surgical and prosthetic guidelines will be provided for application of short implants for posterior sites with limited vertical height.

Guided Bone Regeneration Using a Titanium Membrane at Implant Placement: A Case Report and Literature Discussion
Reconstruction of the oral supporting tissues lost by disease or trauma is essential to tooth replacement with dental implant therapy. This treatment requires evidence based augmentative procedures combined with up-to-date and current techniques. Guided bone regeneration (GBR) aims to initialize this process of alveolar ridge reconstruction by utilizing biologically active and supportive materials best coupled to the body’s healing processes. The use of nonresorbable, titanium membranes can achieve GBR by ensuring graft stability and space maintenance so as to ensure optimal neovascularization. Hereafter is a case report of a ridge defect reconstructed at implant placement, with the rationale and current, evidence-based literature discussed.
