The Management of a Septum and a Large Retention Cyst in the Sinus and Simultaneous Sinus Augmentation
While sinus augmentation has become a more routine surgical procedure in today's practice, there are often unique challenges to overcome such as septums, lack of primary crestal bone and retention cysts. This presentation aims to demonstrate the management of a large retention cyst at the same time as simultaneous sinus augmentation. Surgical protocol, complications and management will be discussed.

Site Preparation & Osseodensification in Bone Management
Today's implant arena involves not only the understanding of procedures but also the science behind wound healing. Often new technologies and instrumentation evolves that have a significant impact on what we are able to do clinically. Piezosurgical devices, periotomes, osteotomes, hydraulic sinus devices, neurosurgical drills, and the "PET" (Partial Extraction Therapies) system are just a short list of those that have made surgery more efficient and less traumatic for our patients. Osseodensification is another concept that can be added to this long list. This lecture will speak about new age bone management concepts and how these technologies may be able to assist us. Potential issues and focus on use will be touched upon as well.

Sinus Floor Augmentation With Simultaneous Implant Placement Using Choukroun’s Platelet-Rich Fibrin as the Sole Grafting Material: A Radiologic and Histologic Study at 6 Months
Sinus augmentation with simultaneous implant placement without bone graft material is a hotly debated technique. This technique could be improved and secured by the use of an autologous leukocyte-and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) (Choukroun’s technique) concentrate. The objectives of this study were to assess the relevance of PRF clots and membranes as the sole filling material during a lateral sinus lift with immediate implantation using radiologic and histologic analyses in a case series.
