Biphosphonates Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw is one of the tragedies affecting our patients each time more often representing a new challenge in what we like to call human dentistry. This severe and unpredictable outcome can evolve from something as simple as a tooth extraction or simply an implant placement. In this presentation the authors display one of the first BRONJ cases in the world treated with the surgical biosealing technique using the PRGF ENDORET graft. Understanding the BIOlogy behind the healing process has been as much surprising as useful in trying to alleviate our patients pain and improve their quality of life. This video presents a novel technique to the post-extraction site based upon taking care of the overall tissue support from the bone level and we will discuss treatment planning, options and limitations with this technique/protocol.

More patients are treated with implants than ever before. Unfortunately, many have insufficient bone available to support an implant prosthesis. This presentation describes the utilization of several different augmentation approaches for the severely resorbed ridge and dentally handicapped fully endentulous patient. Current concepts related to autogenous bone harvest, 3D bone augmentation combined with blood born bioactive modifiers and digital planning are defined. Video and high resolution images are utilized to further describe these approaches.

Atrophic Posterior Maxillan and Mandible: Alveolar Ridge Reconstruction with Mandibular Block Autografts
Autogenous bone grafts have been used for many years for alveolar ridge augmentation and are still considered to be the gold standard for jaw reconstruction. The use of these grafts with osseointegrated implants was originally discussed by Brånemark et al., who used the iliac crest as the donor site. For repair of most localized alveolar defects, however, bone grafts from the mandible offer advantages over iliac crest grafts. These include the proximity of donor and recipient sites, convenient surgical access, decreased donor site morbidity and decreased cost. This article focuses on posterior maxillary and mandibular osseous augmentation in a staged approach for implant placement. Both horizontal and vertical deficiencies are addressed with the use of symphysis and ramus buccal shelf donor block bone via case presentations.
