Thank you for your presentation. I look forward to seeing you October 19th in Atlanta during your presentation there. One question I have is the handling of the Fibrin membrane for a ridge augmentation for vertical height. Can the autograft PRF membrane be left partially exposed when used to cover particulate allograft bone or do the same rules apply for complete non tension tissue flap apposition as they do for all other types of allograft membranes? Will exposure of the PRF fibrin membrane lead to a dihessiance or the potential for increase infection and loss of allograft like that of other allograft membranes left exposed? Thanks- Mark

Bonjour Dr. Choukroun; two very informative videos. I have used PRP and got some improved healing with it several years ago. Then Thrombin was taken off the market in Canada. I understand and appreciate your detailed explanations of why L-PRF is the best & easiest autologous product to improve healing. Autologous bone grafting used with dental implants was originally described by Bränemarketal in 1975, and is now a well-accepted procedure in oral and maxillofacial rehabilitation.Placement of an endosseous implant requires sufficient bone volume for complete bone coverage. Furthermore, the pattern of ridge resorption contributes to an unfavorable maxillomandibular relationship, requires angulations of the implants and/or angled abutments, and affects the proximity of adjacent facial concavities(maxillary sinus, nasal cavity) and vital structures(mandibular nerve).
