Esthetic Management for Compromised Extraction Sites - Part 2 of 2
Missing soft tissue is the main reason for compromised results in the aesthetic zone. But since the soft tissue has to be supported by a sufficient amount of bone, our focus has also to be on bone. Due to the fact that no bone-preservation technique (at the time of tooth extraction) available today, gives us the perfect result we need, augmentation procedures are still needed. Appropriate bone and soft tissue engineering in all three dimensions enhances the aesthetic performance of long-lasting restorations that blend in well and emerge from the periimplant sulcus in harmony with the neighboring teeth.

The Modern Age of Regeneration: Tenting, Fixating and Space Creation
Regeneration requires a common biological thread for predictable results. Space Maintenance, Graft Stability, Bone Biologics, and Wound Management. This presentation will describe the importance of each critical step in regeneration and introduce a new technical system to assist the surgeon in managing and stabilizing the space required for optimal bone regeneration. Flap design, release, biologics selection and enhancement as well as bone stabilization, fixation, and secure membrane adaptation will be further highlighted as to it's critical value in the final results.

Post-Traumatic Treatment of Maxillary Incisors by Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration with Long-Term Follow-Up

Post-Traumatic Treatment of Maxillary Incisors by Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration with Long-Term Follow-Up
Replacing both missing maxillary interior teeth is particularly challenging, especially in compromised sockets. The case report describes the management of an 18-year-old female patient, who suffered avulsion of both maxillary central incisors at 7 years of age. The multidisciplinary implant technique, called Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration (IDR), included extraction of the injured teeth and a single procedure for immediate implant placement and restoration of the compromised sockets after root fracture and peri-apical lesion development were detected during orthodontic treatment. Successful esthetic and functional outcomes and reestablishment of the alveolar process after bone reconstruction were observed during the 3-year follow-up period. The predictable esthetic outcomes and soft and hard tissue stability that can be achieved following IDR are demonstrated.
