Would love to see an actual osteotome-utilized sinus lift from the crest with simultaneous placement of an implant.

Maria Jose Iturburu - (10/12/2012 12:39 PM)

sorry l can't understand how many days do you wait to uncover the implant?

maimoun abdou - (5/12/2012 1:16 PM)

in this video the implants were put then the bone graft , while in other procedures we see the membrane was left by bone graft and pasma then the insartion of the implants? which is more correct?

Lateral Window Sinus Bone Augmentation with a unique Cartridge Delivery System Premium Member Content

Lateral Window Sinus Bone Augmentation with a unique Cartridge Delivery System
The lateral-window approach for maxillary sinus augmentation was introduced to allow for the placement of implants in maxillary posterior edentulous sites with significant pneumatization of the sinus cavity. Implants placed simultaneously with the lateral window sinus augmentation technique enjoy high success rates that are reported to be similar to implants placed in pristine bone in the maxilla

Site Preparation & Osseodensification in Bone Management
Today's implant arena involves not only the understanding of procedures but also the science behind wound healing. Often new technologies and instrumentation evolves that have a significant impact on what we are able to do clinically. Piezosurgical devices, periotomes, osteotomes, hydraulic sinus devices, neurosurgical drills, and the "PET" (Partial Extraction Therapies) system are just a short list of those that have made surgery more efficient and less traumatic for our patients. Osseodensification is another concept that can be added to this long list. This lecture will speak about new age bone management concepts and how these technologies may be able to assist us. Potential issues and focus on use will be touched upon as well.

The Magnetic Mallet and It’s Use in Daily Practice - Clinical Perspective
This innovative machine called the Magnetic Mallet is a device based on a EU/US patent of invention in oral surgery. It uses magnetism to generate a very impressive acceleration of the osteotomes that maximizes the forces applied to the bone (making the procedure fast and efficient) and in the meantime minimizes the inertia and discomfort for the patient. Such speed doesn’t cause any bone heating therefore irrigation water is also not needed!
