Surgical Veneer Grafting: Utilization in Immediate Implant Placement

Description:
The management of the digital implant prosthetic dentistry, especially in the anterior esthetic area, is one of the hottest topics in Dentistry. The diagnostic phase is critical. In the course, are discussed all the parameters to achieve the correct diagnosis of the socket and the various treatment plan correlated to each anatomical type of socket. The Dual Zone approach (bone zone and tissue zone) will be evaluated and discussed in detail, regarding each of their variables. In the surgical part, it will be described the criteria necessary for successfully utilizing minimally invasive protocols within the esthetic zone and the possibility of placing or not placing a bone graft in the “gap” and the opportunity to use a connective tissue graft to overbuild the site bucco-lingually, performing the Surgical Veneer Grafting Protocol, idea'ed by the Agnini brothers. To achieve “Esthetic Perfection”, every minimal detail should be considered, starting from the temporary on the day of the surgery: Drs Agnini will describe various clinical options and techniques, comparing the traditional and digital possibilities for efficiently and esthetically fabricating a temporary restoration immediately after implant placement in the replacement of a single tooth. In the digital prosthetic part, the authors will analyze different cases, highlighting the operational differences that they have developed over time, with the increasing knowledge of new materials and daily advances in new software's.

Thank you Drs for the insightful and inspiring lecture. Question, was the 2nd last case (replacement of 11 12 with implant at 11 and SVG) still considered type 1 socket? According to the PA it looked as if the teeth were missing a lot of bone. What is your choice of tx option for type 2 sockets? Thanks in advance.

Maurice Salama - (12/14/2017 2:25 PM)

SVG is a MUST when PET is not possible and there is thin tissue for Dual Zone!! No doubts. Great job my friends....regards Mo

Treatment of the Mesial Concavity of Maxillary 1st Bicuspids in Comprehensive Periodontal and Restorative Cases
This video will discuss one of the most difficult areas to treat definitively, the mesial concavity of maxillary 1st bicuspids. Techniques will be evaluated whereby the surgeon can treat the cause of periodontal problems rather than the effects. A step by step presentation of removal of the concavity and the proper restoration of the post treated root surface will be shown.

Fibrin Assisted Soft Tissue Promotion (FASTP) Premium Member Content

Fibrin Assisted Soft Tissue Promotion (FASTP)
Soft tissue recession around teeth and implants is an epidemic problem in the field of dentistry. A predictable and long-term soft tissue augmentation outcome is primarily dependent on proper diagnosis, prognosis and treatment planning. Harvesting limitations of autogenous tissue from the palate represent a true challenge when treating patients with multiple recessions or gingival deformities around teeth and dental implants. The Advanced Platelet Rich Fibrin (APRF) and injectable platelet-rich fibrin (iPRF) are promising tissue promoters that can be a suitable alternative option.

A Periodontal-Restorative Approach to Achieving an Esthetic Outcome in Worn Dentition
Esthetic dentistry demands more of clinicians than just simeple knowledge of tooth anatomy and the proper dimensions of teeth. Dentists must also know and understand the proper positions of the teeth in relation to the gingiva, the lips, and entire face. Esthetic measurements are not the only important factors. Other considerations need to include the patient's phonetics and function. A example of a situation where this knowledge and awareness is imperative is in the case of the worn dentition (eg, attrition, abrasion, etc). This article addresses a simple case of how a patients esthetics have been compromised as a result of erosion as well as parafunctional activity (toothbrush abrasion) and how the patient was eventually restored with an interdisciplinary approach between the restorative dentist and the periodontal surgeon.

Alveolar Ridge Preservation and Reconstruction

Alveolar Ridge Preservation and Reconstruction
Periodontal plastic surgery procedures designed to reconstruct deformed, partially edentulous residual ridges were introduced to the dental profession between 1971 and 1986. They have been revised and refined to their current state of development, where they now occupy a major place in the reconstructive armamentarium. Before these concepts were developed, it was generally believed that it was impossible to surgically reconstruct deformities in the partially edentulous ridge. Deformities were filled…
