Trouble-free Highly Esthetic Composite Restorations
Description:
Direct composite restoration is the restoration of choice due to the combination of esthetics, affordability and conservation – a major demand of today’s patients. However many issues still remain regarding technique sensitivity and restoration durability.
This presentation will address via pictures and video, a methodological approach on how to consistently succeed with highly esthetic trouble- free and durable composite restorations.

Probably no one still looking at this but I have to comment anyway. Beautiful work but given the amount of time 70-90 mins to restore 3 teeth with multi-surface restorations I hat dot ask the question but how much was the patient charged? I hate to ask but we many of us are in private practice and the cost of providing care to this extent would not be profitable.

Beautiful work, Nassib....regarding the composite carving instrument have you used the double ended carvers I did for Hu-Friedy? They are the #5 and #6 Goldstein Composite Carvers and one end is specifically for the disto-occlusal of bicuspids and molars. Makes finishing so much easier.

The Cycle of Tooth Preservation Via Stress-Reduced Direct Composite Restorations
This lecture will provide clinicians with an overview of differing biomimetic protocols and techniques to predictably restore the anterior and posterior dentition using a minimally invasive approach.
Increasing interest has been developed on “Life-like” restorations also known as biomimetic restorations. These are either porcelain or resin based restoration that can be performed on the anterior and posterior areas of the mouth. They may adopt both an indirect and a direct technique. The common characteristic is that they are low stressed and highly bonded restorations able to reproduce the functional and optical characteristic of the natural dentition.

Successful Composite Resin Restorations - Part 1 of 2
Amalgam has been a durable successful dental restorative material; however this material has recently come under question due to its mercury content and disposal. Composite resin materials range from flowable to highly filled condensable type viscosities. There are many factors that influence the success of posterior composite resin restorations. This presentation will identify the factors that limit success (size, patient type, caries risk, shrinkage, curing light) and the materials that can be successfully used to restore posterior teeth. Beginning with flowable materials and their clinical application the presentation will discuss the open sandwich technique, use of flowable posterior restorations, sectional matrices and fluoride, calcium and phosphate releasing materials.

Customize Your Composites For Your Patients
Today's composite resins have truly evolved to the point where you can several 'best' choice for any restorative situation. Using various case studies, this course will demonstrate the use of a family of low-shrinkage composites and proven techniques to provide many examples of the applications of different types of composites to provide excellent results. Additionally, we will discuss how to use the photography of these cases to create awareness to current, new, and potential patients through various marketing techniques.

Clinical Tips for Posterior Composites
Despite the popularity of posterior composites, it is a topic that still creates questions and frustrations for many clinicians. Our goal is to place these restorations with ease and success to create long lasting results. We will discuss preparation design, material selection, matrices, and placement techniques. One of the most common questions I get is about predictably creating tight contacts, and we will look at several techniques to ensure this happens.

Innovative Sequencing for Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Treatment
Smile enhancement therapy has become an important facet of the everyday aesthetic practice. Aesthetic evaluation utilizing facial aesthetic design to diagnose tooth position demands effective communication between the periodontal-restorative team.
This presentation will review innovative sequencing techniques for interdisciplinary cases which require aesthetic crown lengthening for the treatment of excessive gingival display, and for gingival augmentation for root coverage, and the correction of poor gingival quality. Immediate implant placement with immediate non–loaded provisional fabrication will also be reviewed.

Selecting the Right Composite for the Anterior Segment
In this presentation, Dr. Fahl will introduce the necessary concepts for the general practitioner to implement direct composite restorations in the anterior segment. A systematic approach for solving day-to-day challenges will be introduced based on the physical and color properties of current restorative systems. The selection of appropriate materials for distinct areas of the anterior dentition will be discussed and presented within the realm of its clinical significance. Dr. Fahl will include tips and tricks for achieving seamless, long-lasting artistic composite restorations.

Color in Esthetics: The Science Behind Beauty
This presentation will be very different from programs in color matching, communication and reproduction of natural teeth that you may have attended in the past. The didactic part will emphasize the nature, principles and fundamentals of color, and tools that are essential to master a plan for successful color matching in both office and dental laboratory, together with step-by-step instructions. Examples and practical suggestions will be provided, including the latest changes recommended by the presenter. Dental Color Matcher, a color education and training program for esthetic dentistry authored by the presenter and used by dental professionals and students in 100+ countries, will be demonstrated.

Immediate Implant Provisionalization: A Critical Aspect in Tissue Care and Esthetics-Part 2
The management of the hopeless tooth or an edentulous span in the Estheitc Zone is amongst the most clinically demanding procedures in tooth replacement do to the demands of tissue preservation and patient management during the healing phase. As important as the implant surgical process in these areas is the role of the immediate provisional restoration. Tissue support, emergence profile and The provisional restoration phase of implant therapy has become one of the most critical steps in immediate or delayed placement for several reasons including the following...

The Centripetal Build-Up for Composite Resin Posterior Restorations
This paper introduces a new technique for creating Class II posterior composite restorations - the centripetal build-up. This technique replaces the lost tooth structure from the periphery towards the center of the cavity, thereby achieving better marginal adaptation to the gingival floor. Since overfilling is rare, rotary finishing is minimized. This method allows the creation of long-term aesthetic posterior composite restorations, while utilizing conventional auxiliary (ie, metal matrix bands…

Updating Classifications of Ceramic Dental Materials
The indications for and composition of today’s dental ceramic materials serve as the basis
for determining the appropriate class of ceramics to use for a given case. By understanding
the classifications, composition, and characteristics of the latest all-ceramic materials,
which are presented in this article in order of most to least conservative, dentists and
laboratory technicians can best determine the ideal material for a given treatment.
