Course Description:
Virtual implant planning is today the best tool that we have at our disposal to create and compare alternative treatment options for our patients and become acquainted to the surgical area anatomy.
After careful evaluation of different factors that include diameter, length, implant position & design, number of implants, adjacent anatomical structures, grafting and alternative prosthetic virtual design we can proceed to create and 3D print prosthetic components and surgical guides in our practice.
The purpose of this compact introductory course is to facilitate your initiation into a methodological process of virtual planning, guide design and 3D printing that can be easily and affordably implemented in your practice and that is simple, fast, precise and effective.
As everything digital, it requires a learning curve and constant practice to build muscle memory.
We have chosen ROMEXIS, a very simple yet comprehensive integrated software for the course.
The process of 3D thinking and 3D planning applies in the same way for any available planning software.
THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PRESENTATION:
Identify the virtual planning tools
Plan your case in the software
Design a surgical guide digitally
Send to 3D printer
