The two arms extreme allows placing two premolars or a premolar and a molar, with the security distance of 1.5mm to the adjacent tooth always respected. 
b. The three arms extreme, allows the sequence PPM (Premolar-Premolar-Molar) or the sequence PMM (Premolar-Molar-Molar).

The surgical technique is the basis of Implantology. It is a sequence of steps culminating in the insertion of an implant into the surgical site prepared by the surgeon. The Straight Clinicae Template has three different functions:1.- To center single implants, either 4 or 5 mm. diameter. 2.- To separate implants with a diameter of 4 or 5 mm at a distance of 3mm. 3.- To parallelize mandible surgical socket preparations.

Dr. Maurice Salama & colleagues, in his 2007 article, detailed two fundamental relationships in prosthetic implants. The first is the minimum distance that should be between the
root of a tooth and an implant, to avoid crest resorption and guarantee the preservation of the papilla. The second is the minimum distance between implants to guarantee the maximum
of papilla between the two implants.
