Conservative Form and Space Management in Anterior Implants, Veneers and Esthetic Therapy - Part 2 of 2
Description:
In this 2nd of a 2 part presentation, Dr. Christian Coachman, a ceramist from Brazil, shares conservative methods of overcoming esthetic challenges in anterior restorations involving implant therapy. Achieving optimal esthetics and smile design through special emphasis on form and space management is thoroughly highlighted. The utilization of partial veneers and pink composite in this endeavor is particularly illuminating.

In the First case, droping the incisal edge by 5mm does not appear to be a good treatment plan(executed). A 3.5mm to 4mm drop for(correcting reverse smile line) would have produced better results. What is not acceptable as currently being performed is "tooooo long" centrals...where in it was "avoidable(shorter)" for "even better results". Is it a normal overbite to be 2.5mm to 3mm? Also, no veneer on #6 and re-shaping incisal of #11 would have been much more appropriate. This comment is about the very first case in this series.

Sequencing Ceramic Restorations with Immediate Implants
This presentation will cover Temporization, impression and final cementation of immediately placed implants. Also, treatment planning and prepless veneers and minimal invasion veneers will be shown. Finally how we sequence the treatments to make each visit as effective as possible without compromising our end result.

Smile Transformations Through Composite Restorations
In today’s esthetic conscious society, to obtain ideal results, the dentist must have a thorough understanding of the patient’s desires, economic concerns, and esthetic expectations.
The objective of this course is to help the practitioner successfully select and combine different treatment modalities and materials to achieve outstanding esthetic and functional results without committing the patient to the high biologic and financial cost of indirect porcelain restorations. Multiple clinical cases will be used to demonstrate the versatility of today’s composite materials and their advantages over porcelain restorations in both anterior and posterior situations.

Crown Lengthening & Esthetic Upgrades Using M.Vision Digital Workflow
During last 10 years dentistry changed a lot. Practices around the world implement digital technologies in everyday practice. Modern digital approach in M.Vision clinic during smile makeover will be demonstrated step y step. You will see 3D planning stage, crown lengthening procedure, transfer of mock-up, preparation with microscope, intra oral scanning procedures, lab steps, isolation and bonding procedures. Also we will raise a discussion of new technologies (scanners, milling machines, 3D printers) possibilities.

“Finally” - Predictable Indirect Conservative Posterior Restorations
Predictable and repeatable results can be achieved through materials and clinical practices that, on one hand, preserve the original structure of the compromised tooth and, on the other hand, involve a very low biologic price. New technologies for the enamel-dentin adhesion and the continuous evolution of more sophisticated esthetic materials (composite resins and porcelains) allow the effective reaching of verifiable and predictable results.
Technologies and materials have to follow an operative approach that strictly involves operative steps which have been carefully codified referring to the materials typology used for time to time. This lecture aims to point out the relevant guidelines for obtaining predictable indirect posterior restorations through the evaluation of a correct biomechanical approach rather than giving just a “trendy” adhesive approach.

Visagism: The Art of Dental Composition
The aim of this article is to present a novel concept: Visagism. The Visagism concept helps dental clinicians
provide restorations that account not only for esthetics,
but also for the psychosocial features of the created image,
which affect patients’ emotions, sense of identity,
behavior, and self-esteem. These factors, in turn, affect
how observers react to patients following treatment.

The Centripetal Build-Up for Composite Resin Posterior Restorations
This paper introduces a new technique for creating Class II posterior composite restorations - the centripetal build-up. This technique replaces the lost tooth structure from the periphery towards the center of the cavity, thereby achieving better marginal adaptation to the gingival floor. Since overfilling is rare, rotary finishing is minimized. This method allows the creation of long-term aesthetic posterior composite restorations, while utilizing conventional auxiliary (ie, metal matrix bands…

Prosthetic Gingival Reconstruction in a Fixed Partial Restoration - Part 1: Introduction to Artificial Gingiva as an Alternative Therapy
The Class III defect environment entails a vertical and horizontal deficiency in the endentulous ridge. Often, bone and soft tissue surgical procedures fall short of achieving a natural esthetic result. Alternative surgical and restorative protocols for these types of prosthetic gingival restorations are presented in this three-part series, which highlights the diagnostic and treatment aspects as well as the lab and maintenance challenges involved.
