He details all steps taken through to finishing and polishing of the direct bonded composite restorations.
The Kois occlusal deprogrammer was key to success in this case and fabrication and features of the deprogrammer are also explained in this webinar.

Restorative Direct is sure the first choice for many patients. But I think is of nothing educational value to show these complex procedures...with no dam use, imho.

Hi Hassam , the single tooth Mock-up was created with idealised proportions and a length of 11mm. This was then checked with lips in repose in order to gain an idea of our finalised smile line. (The presentation got a little stretched in widescreen before publication) but I can advise you that ideal proportions were achieved in order to close diastema and give us desired length of tooth. I have been mocking up by eye for years but would consider a full wax up to be an appropriate way to creat a single tooth stent for the same purpose. Remember I was also replacing lost palatal tissue so this has to be included in the mock-up. I have been a member of the AACD and Dental XP for nearly a decade and these organisations offer the best courses and conferences for international dentists.

Excellent work and presentation but my question dr. The single tooth mockup which determined the required hight of anterior plate depend on what ? Or just on visual examination. Thanx alote

Hi Mohammed, no bite guard required as we have a predictable deprogrammed stable occlusion developed with patient in CR through equilibration by addition. I have similar cases with a much longer history and have little experience of wear or restoration fractures. Yearly polishing is all I recommend and I confirm at reviews that we still have a stable occlusion. I would only place a bite guard if patient had recognised parafunctional wear.
