Ключевая роль временных реставраций таких как Blueprint среди Эстетических техник

Description:

Interesting case. However, I would have corrected this pt's mal-alignment prior to placing veneers.

Yu Cheng Chu - (12/26/2014 7:24 PM)

Dr. Apa, do you have a course for this technique? Thanks!

R. Terry Councill - (12/26/2014 9:48 AM)

Great Technique. I have been doing this for a while and it truly is a motivating moment. When recreating a smile design, I struggle with the tooth form decision and seem to end up with the same design almost every time. When "simply" enhancing the smile, I tend to copy the original tooth form unless there are strong patient preferences. I wonder if you have away to predict proper tooth form without a lot or trial and error. I have been guilty of designing square teeth for men and rounded teeth for women.

Digital Workflow for Anterior Implant Aesthetics Premium Member Content

Digital Workflow for Anterior Implant Aesthetics
We have seen excellent results in the aesthetic zone when immediate implant placement techniques have been used. A review of the current literature reveals and confirms the re-education of mid-buccal facial recession is best when an immediate provisional is used. If we can digitize this information and create a crown-root form matrix, we can allow tissue to maintain the exact 3D position of the crown and root of the tooth that is to be replaced. A technique using "dicom" files and "STL" files of the original tooth-root will be demonstrated. This will allow ideal healing of the surrounding hard and soft tissues in for any implants restoration.

Effective Restorative Dentistry Using CO2 Hard Tissue Laser Premium Member Content

Effective Restorative Dentistry Using CO2 Hard Tissue Laser
The CO2 9.3um hard tissue laser has made restorative dentistry more acceptable to patients mainly due to the lack of local anesthesia required for most all restorations. Procedures will be shown on both virgin teeth as well as replacement of previous restorations. What has been most impressive is how the cutting speed can be varied in both enamel and dentin. Also the efficiency as well as the simplicity of operation will be included. Finally, you will see patient responses after the procedures showing the effectiveness of the laser in anesthetizing the teeth being treated.

Dental color matching instruments and systems. Review of clinical and research aspects
Today’s shade-matching technologies have been developed in an effort to increase the success of color matching, communication, reproduction and verification in clinical dentistry, and, ultimately, to increase the efficiency of esthetic restorative work within any practice. The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive review of the current state of shade-matching technologies and instrumentation, and their clinical and research application.

Relationships Between Different Tooth Shapes and Patient’s Periodontal Phenotype

Relationships Between Different Tooth Shapes and Patient’s Periodontal Phenotype
The purpose of the present study was to establish whether any correlation exists between tooth shapes and patient-related factors such as gingival and periodontal characteristics. Clinical measurements, including the width and the height of maxillary central incisor crowns, the apico incisal height of the keratinized mucosa, the buccal gingival thickness (GT), the depth of the sulcus, the bone-sounding depth (BS) and the height of the interproximal maxillary central papilla, were investigated in 50 healthy individuals. These individuals were then divided into three groups based on the shape of their maxillary central incisor crowns: triangular; square; or square-tapered. The results of this study indicate that different tooth shapes are associated with significantly different values for the extent of the KM, its bucco-lingual thickness and the height of the interproximal maxillary central papilla.

Aesthetic Design Preservation in Multidisciplinary Therapy

Aesthetic Design Preservation in Multidisciplinary Therapy
Complex perio-prosthetic cases that require multidisciplinary therapy often result in compromised aesthetics. Traditional treatment planning philosophies, as well as existing interdisciplinary relational patterns, do not promote the achievement of predictable aesthetic results. Implementation of a restorative-driven approach requires the development of an aesthetic blueprint that will serve as a guide through treatment. This article illustrates the clinical techniques and sequence for an outcome-based protocol…
